Image Entertainment acquired U.S. rights to Rosamund Pike's thriller Return To Sender

This past Tuesday, I posted the first trailer for Return To Sender here. With the independent film getting a UK Cinema release first on the 22nd of this month, now comes the news that Rosamund Pike's psychological thriller Return To Sender has just been acquired in the U.S. by Image Entertainment. No U.S. release date has been set as of yet, but it looks like it might be released sometime by the end of this year 2015.

Shiloh Fernandez, Nick Nolte, Rumer Willis, Camryn Manheim, Illeana Douglas, and Scout Taylor-Compton also star.

Rosamund Pike's Thriller 'Return to Sender' Bought by Image
Image Entertainment has acquired U.S. rights to thriller “Return to Sender,” starring Rosamund Pike and directed by Fouad Mikati. 

Nick Nolte, Shiloh Fernandez, Camryn Manheim and Rumer Willis also star. Pike portrays a nurse who is attacked by a stranger, played by Fernandez, during a home invasion. She then begins to visit him in jail regularly after he’s arrested.

Producers are Holly Wiersma (“Dallas Buyers Club”) and Candice Abela; executive producers are Joe Gossett, J.C. Khoury and Logan Levy.

No release date has been set. The deal was negotiated by Voltage Pictures on behalf of the filmmakers and Mark Ward on behalf of RLJE/Image Entertainment. (Variety)
Image Entertainment Grabs Rosamund Pike Thriller ‘Return To Sender’
U.S. Rights have to the thriller Return to Sender, which stars Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl) and Nick Nolte, has been nabbed by Image Entertainment. Pike stars as Miranda, a small town nurse who gets attacked during a home invasion by a mysterious stranger (Shiloh Fernandez). Following his arrest, Miranda starts to regularly visit him in jail and build a relationship with her attacker. The film, which will be released sometime end of year 2015, was directed by Fouad Mikati from a script co-written by Patricia Beauchamp and Joe Gossett. The ensemble cast also includes Camryn Manheim (The Practice) and Rumer Willis. Mark Ward, RLJ’s Entertainment’s chief acquisitions officer who negotiated the deal. (Deadline)
