Our P&P (2005) movie's 10th Year Anniversary event here continues (and concludes tonight!)...

In continuation of our Movie Roundtable discussing 's Pride & Prejudice(2005) film, and to conclude our 4-part movie discussions here (Read part 1, part 2, and part 3), we (Regina JeffersSharon LathanJeaneand I,) discussed (in this part 4) about any P&P movie related topic (excluding the common Darcywars, of course) that we've always wanted to say something about and our favorite visual technique or symbolism that director Joe Wright used and emphasized throughout the film.

Top 10 Favorite Elizabeth & Darcy Moments in Pride & Prejudice (2005) Movie

Our P&P (2005) movie's 10th Year Anniversary event here continues...

Like my Top 10 Favorite individual Elizabeth Bennet and Darcy Moments posts, it was difficult to pick my Top 10 favorite moments of them as an OTP (One True Pair) too as they were both equally great as individuals as well as together (as a romantic couple). Keira Knightley & Matthew Macfadyen as Elizabeth & Darcy has the best on-screen chemistry. They were perfectly cast as these iconic charactersJane Austen created more two centuries and two ago.

Feelings That Can’t Be Contained – Why I Still Love the Pride & Prejudice 2005 Adaptation

Image
Our P&P (2005) movie's 10th Year Anniversary event here continues...

In my previous guest posts, I’ve referenced the artistry of the 2005 Pride & Prejudice adaptation: the cinematography, the lush colors and amazingly beautiful locations, the exquisite musical score, symbolic clues and the emphasis on the differences of the various social classes. I appreciate all of those things because they only add to this film’s distinction, but what I love and appreciate the most is its liveliness, animation and the spontaneous feelings that manners cannot contain.  It appeals to me visually, audibly and emotionally.

Our P&P (2005) movie's 10th Year Anniversary event here continues...

During the 10th year anniversary day (UK Cinema Release; September 16th) of's Pride & Prejudice(2005) movie, we (Jeane,, Regina Jeffers, andSharon Lathan) started here aMovie Rountablediscussing all about the Pride & Prejudice (2005) movie. Now, to resume to the third part of our 4-part roundtable movie discussionshere, we discussed about our thoughts on which minor characters in the movie most caught our attention and Elizabeth and Charlotte's unpleasant conversation in the swing scene about Miss Lucas' announcement of her sudden engagement to Lizzie's "dreaded cousin"Mr. Collins.

Where Are They Now? Pride & Prejudice (2005) film's director Joe Wright and Production Crew 10 Years later (Part 3)

Image
Our P&P (2005) movie's 10th Year Anniversary event here continues...

I previously posted about the main cast and supporting cast of Pride & Prejudice (2005) whose careers soared and have continued to be busy after their P&P (2005) film. I thought I'd include the people behind the scenes who made this beautiful movie happen as without them, this movie wouldn't have been made. Also, some of them are incredibly talented and you may (or may not) have
been surprised to have seen their familiar work in other award winning films. Also, director Joe Wrightnot only love working with his actors from P&P in his other films, but also love working with the same production crew.

See JW and some of his P&P film crew (with photos to see what they look like) and where they are now or rather what their current and upcoming films are, 10 years later after their P&P movie...

I previously posted about this 7 years ago here: P&P From A-Z, but I thought I'd update it (edited with images) in a new post here, this time all about Pride & Prejudice (2005) movie, FYE and for the nostalgia. I got a bit creative on the letters X and Z.

Yesterday afternoon (Saturday, September 26th) and for the first time, more than a few hours later early this (Sunday, September 27th) morning, there was another surprisingly, not back-to-back airing of Joe Wright's 2005Pride & Prejudice movie starring Keira Knightley & Matthew Macfadyen on TV. It was last shown on Bravo channel twice last August 8th and 9th.

The Magic Feeling of Watching Pride & Prejudice (2005) Film

Our P&P (2005) movie's 10th Year Anniversary event here continues...

I thought I would repeat posting this here, (edited with added images, of course). As previously mentioned, I had the pleasure in being invited to guest blog at Karin Quint's Dutch Jane Austen website: Jane Austen.nl, in which I wrote about The Magic Feeling of Watching Pride & Prejudice (2005)film. Her website is also celebrating the 10th year anniversary of the P&P (2005) movie with a Pride & Prejudice - party: see you on September 25 for P&P fans (to celebrate this movie's Dutch Cinema release: September 22, 2005) today!

Top 10 Favorite Darcy Moments in Pride & Prejudice (2005) Movie

Image
Our P&P (2005) movie's 10th Year Anniversary event here continues...

It was quite hard to pick my Top 10 Favorite Elizabeth Bennet Moments. It's even harder to pick my Top 10 favorite Darcy Moments inPride & Prejudice (2005) movie. There were so many great Darcy moments/scenes in this movie. (my all-time and personal favoriteMr. Darcy) did an AMAZING job portraying his Darcy role. In my opinion, he was simply perfect for this role. Even without a dialogue and he just stands there with his "quizzical brow" and stared (most of the time with those gorgeous blue eyes) at Miss Elizabeth, he was just so mesmerizing and irresistible. I just love...love...love him as Mr. Darcy!

Top 10 Favorite Elizabeth Bennet Moments in Pride & Prejudice (2005) Movie

Image
Our P&P (2005) movie's 10th Year Anniversary event here continues...

I love that in Pride & Prejudice (2005) movie, almost every scene and events were seen through Elizabeth Bennet's eyes as she's the main character, in whichJane Austen wrote her to be in her classic (202 years old) novel. Oscar Nominee* (nominated for an Oscar* - Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role for P&P movie for her Elizabeth Bennet role)'s Elizabeth appeared in this film from the opening scene to the very last, Mrs. Darcy (American) ending scene. I love Keira Knightley as Elizabeth Bennet. In my opinion, she did an EXCELLENT job portraying this role. She had a lot of great moments/scenes that I loved and enjoyed watching. It was hard to pick my favorite EB moments/scenes and narrowed it down to just 10, but again, I had to pick only 10 for this post...

Celebrating 20 years of Pride and Prejudice (1995) TV Miniseries

Taking a little pause here from our on going P&P (2005) movie's 10th Year Anniversary event...to celebrate another big P&P anniversary, this time the 20th Anniversary of the Andrew Davies penned 1995Pride and Prejudicestarring Colin Firth & Jennifer Ehle. It first aired in the UK's BBC One network back in September 24th, 1995 (exactly 20 years ago today)!

Happy 20th Anniversary P&P 1995!!
Last April, I previously posted here: Two beloved Pride & Prejudice screen adaptations with upcoming anniversaries in September 2015!

Of course, we've been celebrating here the 10th year anniverary of Joe Wright's Pride & Prejudice (2005) film all month long, but today, I thought I'd take the time to celebrate P&P 1995's 20th anniversary. I know this version isn't my top favorite (it's at least on my top 3), but that doesn't mean I didn't like it. I did and thought it was still very good. Yes. I was a bit critical on my review of thi…

In return, I asked her to guest blog here (thanks a lot, Karin) and talk about this movie as ourP&P (2005) movie's 10th Year Anniversary event here continues...She's not a big fan of this movie, but she does like other things about it and watching it, loves the movie soundtrack, and appreciates director Joe Wright's different approach and artistic choices in adapting Jane Austen's classic Pride and Prejudice novel into a 2-hour film.

Top 10 Favorite Pride & Prejudice Movie Quotes

Our P&P (2005) movie's 10th Year Anniversary event here continues...
One of the many things I love about Pride & Prejudice (2005) movie is the memorable and quotable quotes (and dialogue). I know pretty much every line/quote uttered by various characters in this movie by heart. There isn't just one to remember because there are so many unforgettable quotes and one-liners from this movie. For my Top 10 Favorite Pride & Prejudice Movie Quotes here, it was very hard to pick and just narrow it down to 10, but that's the point of making a top 10 list. I know I left out a lot, but I managed to pick 10 that I can quote instantly and love the most. Obviously, the top 2 are a fan favorite, but mine too.

Our P&P (2005) movie's 10th Year Anniversary event here continues...

The UK Cinema release anniversary (yesterday) may have been over, but our celebration and appreciation for this movie continues as we're celebrating it here in this blog all month long. There are so many beautiful moments/scenes in Pride & Prejudice (2005) movie and, of course, it's hard to pick just one or two favorite. I could say, a lot of them, because I love pretty much every scene in this movie (well, except for a few Wickham scenes, lol), but I thought I'd narrow them down to a Top 10 (I'm starting a series of top 10 posts here, so keep checking for more), my Top 10 favorite Pride & Prejudice Moments here, for our P&P 10th Anniversary event and for the nostalgia. It was very hard to pick these top 10 as I know I've left out a lot, but this wouldn't be a top 10 if I have more than 10, so I had to really pick just the 10 moments/scenes (the top 3 are my all-time perso…

I had the pleasure in interviewingPride & Prejudice (2005) film's own Screenwriter, Deborah Moggach, who received a BAFTA nomination (Adapted Screenplay) for scripting Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice for the big screen, especially for our P&P 10th anniversary event and celebration here today. I'm convinced one of the greatest debates ever started on the Internet never involved parenting, social issues, nor politics. No. I dare say the greatest debate I ever witnessed on the Internet dared to ask an innocent question. Which actor played the better Mr. Darcy? Far be it for me to be divisive and start a lively debate. Instead, I wish to share the joy of why the 2005 adaptation of Pride and Prejudice film remains my favorite.
